聖法蘭西斯禱文相信大家也曾聽過(也是一首詩歌)。當你在埋怨沒有人關心你的時候﹐有否想過你也可以去關心人呢? 而你身邊的人可能有比你更大的難處和需要呢?

願我們都能少為自己求，少求受安慰，但求安慰人，少求被瞭解，但求瞭解人，少求愛，但求全心付出愛。放下自我﹐多關心別人﹐多為身邊的人禱告﹐成為神的和平之子。

神啊！求你讓我成為你和平的工具，
在創傷的地方，求你讓我播下寬恕；
在憎恨的地方，求你讓我播下愛心；
在絕望的地方，求你讓我播下盼望；
在黑暗的地方、求你讓我播下光明；
在悲哀的地方，求你讓我播下喜樂；
神聖的主啊！
求你讓我不多被瞭解，只求瞭解別人；
不多求被安慰，只求安慰別人；
不多求被人家愛護，只求全付出愛，付出我的愛來愛眾人。
因為我們寬恕的時候，我們才能夠得到寬恕。
我們失意的時候才能夠得到安慰；我們死亡的時候才能夠得到永恆的生命。』

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
