九月九日有得飲

去完飲﹐真係覺得自家既安排好好﹐要做到賓至如歸好難。

撇開weekday 擺酒甘唔方便唔講﹐最緊要係坐得迫到呢 (8人檯坐12個人)﹐又熱啦﹐同埋N甘多個人講野﹐使唔使呀? 10點都未切到蛋糕! 我決定走人。

最好笑係亞姑媽話都係你地果餐好D。多謝。

somebody stole my yogurt!!

今日既大事!

之前有yogurt 減價﹐見又有coupon 就買左4盒,帶返公司做snack,幾正。今日我又帶啦﹐點知三點度去拎發現唔見左! 從來無係公司比人偷過野食既我仲以為自己食左唔記得急急﹐返番自己個垃圾筒睇下有無個空盒﹐ 甘當然無啦。之後返雪櫃再睇, 都係無。於是我嬲嬲地打左個sign:

Whoever took the strawberry Activia yogurt today (8/18), please stop taking food from the fridge that is not yours!

之後同同事講開﹐先知原來佢地都比人偷過Snapple, yogurt, 等等! 真係估唔到office 有D甘既人!!! 甘衰格偷人地D野食!

Hidden Fees

前一兩日check PNC 的戶口看見一個$7.50 的charge, 不知是甚麼。今天再check 發現是Card Replacement Fee.

話說上周四去了銀行改名﹐順帶request 新ATM. 當時職員沒有說拿新卡要收費的! 於是立刻call 去銀行要求refund. 聽我電話的rep 算不錯﹐當我解釋完情況之後幫我refund. 雖然replacement card 收費是standard policy, 但是你不事先告訴我就真的不該呀! $7.50 我可以買到5盒strawberries 或者blueberries 呀。

另外Citibank 就沒有這些fee.

DMV Hell

昨日諗住去換車牌﹐ 點知去左DMV Hell.

都知呢D政府部門麻煩﹐但見先前去SSA好快就得﹐諗住帶齊文件就OK啦。點知。。。

- 1st trial : 我俾passport 個receptionist 睇﹐點知佢問我係邊度出生。其實後來諗返﹐呢個問題應該非法, 因為我係公民呀﹐你理得我係邊度出生呀﹐無理由見到我亞洲人樣就甘問。我不以為意答左哪。點知佢話唔得﹐要你張入籍紙先得。嘗試同佢解釋﹐唔聽﹐甘我就死死地氣返去亞媽度拎。

- 2nd trial: 有naturalization paper 啦。點知今次話我個lease 唔係original, 係 copy! ok, 我可以返去rental office 問下。 總有marriage license 個名﹐佢地只看birth name (其實有一欄係寫宜家個名既), 又話唔得! 仲要我返去township office 去改! ok, 甘我就死死地氣返去屋企﹐ office 算好﹐俾份 original lease 我一用。去到township, 一個staff話要改要好麻煩架﹐要交上state, 要攪一排。跟住另一個staff 再睇﹐話唔使改呀﹐你個名係度呀。跟住個staff 又話不如你去一個遠D既DMV 啦﹐個度無甘麻煩。

- 3rd trial: 唔信邪﹐返返去Cherry Hill DMV. 今次睇文件無問題﹐以為得啦。坐低填表﹐有野要問。點知一問見返2nd trial 個女人﹐話你有無改到marriage license 呀。我話無﹐township 話唔使。個女人一聽就好嬲﹐話我係in charge of 呢個office 既﹐我決定乜野文件得﹐乜野文件唔得! 遇上呢D揸住雞毛當令箭既人﹐真係黑仔﹐唯有死死地氣走啦。但係已經搞到12 點啦。本來諗住10點前會返到公司﹐宜家局住要work from home﹐ 又搞唔到咪好唔抵?

- 4th trial: 決定試下去要20 分鐘既office. 唔難找。用同樣既文件﹐一D問題都無﹐20 分鐘之內搞掂走人。

結論: 將來寧願開車遠D都唔返去Cherry Hill office. 下次再有人見我有passport 都問我係邊度出生一定投訴。

wireless

早前買了部wireless printer, 多年來家中都無printer, 現在方便多了。但技安又買了個新的router, 不過我這部03年desktop 又支持不住﹐要裝新的driver, 但新的drive 令到電腦時時shut off, 現在roll back 去舊router, 但driver 又要reinstall. 所以現在上網危危乎﹐printer 又唔得﹐認真麻煩。

Wal-Mart Employee Trampled to Death

想唔到會有甘既事情發生。D人係咪痴線架﹐為左買平野﹐死逼難逼攪到係Wal-Mart 踩死個員工。個HD TV 真係吸引到叫人亂甘黎﹐妄顧身邊既人既安全? 為到呢位員工的家人難過﹐Wal-Mart 又係咪要付上責任呢?

Rejection Letter

從來都無聽過有photographer 嫌個客既﹐可能我地對攝影真係唔識﹐所以呢個人竟然會reject 我地! 大佬﹐你約我地﹐又遲成個鐘﹐攪到我鬼甘肚餓。你又唔係full time﹐有得睇既sample 又少﹐又無咩reputation 可言﹐甘大部份既準新人都唔會係識影相架啦﹐你想我地點同你有connection, 同點show enthusiasm 呀。呢個Sean Marshall Lin 真係唔惦。

Dear Wendy and Ron,

It was a great pleasure meeting with you guys on Friday even though
the drive was a bit adventurous and delayed. Meeting you guys have let
me briefly reflective on my wonderful time spent in Hong Kong and
Kowloon last July!

As you know, I'm trying to establish myself as one of the absolute
best photographers/artists in the area in the next many months and
perhaps one of the best at any price in the coming few years
encompassing my distinctive style and experience. Money is a good
incentive but it's not my primary concern. Once I book a client, I
will expect work extremely hard for the best photos under the
circumstances provided and to tell their stories in an strong stylish
and artistic fashion. So it is crucial then, to me, that my clients
understand me in the very beginning and that I should able to connect
with my clients as much as they should to me. However, I felt that
before and during our meeting (via email and our meeting itself) that
the necessary connection and enthusiasm(regarding only to photography,
of course) has not been detected as it had been so obvious from the
other clients who have emailed me or those who already booked me. I
care for all my clients,
even those who I've just met and haven't booked. Therefore, I believe
if I continue to take on this event may result in a compromise of my
own enthusiasm and the quality of my work. It pains me somewhat to
tell you guys that I would like to pass on this great opportunity to
the next talented photographer on your list and wish you guys the
absolute best!

勞氣

話說公司的payroll dept 奇差﹐經常攪錯我的payroll deductions。

最近又攪錯我transit check 的deduction. 原先想間或會坐火車﹐想著可以慳稅﹐就登記用transit check。隨著習慣了開車﹐及油價下降﹐都不再打算坐火車了。所以一個月後取消了﹐但公司還繼續deduct! 最離譜係payroll deduction 係要send 去一間vendor, 然後vendor 會出transit check 的。vendor 都有記碌我取消了﹐都無再幫我order transit check, 但我公司就無記錄, 仍然寄錢去果邊!! 最後又係要call三四次先攪掂。現在說會在下一次出糧退返錢﹐希望真係會得啦。

另外EZ Pass 又攪錯我的commuter rebate。 呢個重離譜﹐call 了5次! 如每月過橋18次或以上﹐係會有$18 ($1 per trip) rebate 既。由6月開始我就應該有﹐不過6月EZ Pass 寄左個新tag 來﹐於是佢地就lost track, 無出到rebate 俾我。由7月中開始call, 每次都話叫我等﹐要幾多幾多business days 云云(由5 至15日不等)。終於上星期六再call, 我話要叫manager 聽﹐當然佢又話無人係度﹐叫我禮拜一再call. 今朝call, 果rep 態度都麻麻﹐不過起碼肯同我講﹐從佢口中我覺得先前既四個rep 根本咩都無做過! 呢個rep 雖然都好無用﹐我話你要數兩個tag, 加埋就有18次﹐佢又同我拗﹐話我數錯。當然最後係我岩啦。佢話要up to 20 business days 先見到credit!!! 都唔知咩公司黎既。
