改朝換代

公司將於下星期一改朝換代﹐於是今日大老闆房換地版﹐裝修工人用了非常toxic 的solvent, 中正我唔煙得﹐唔攻得(攻鼻的攻)既死穴﹐成朝勁頭痛﹐加上重有點點傷風﹐差點重演上海暈低的盛況。食完飯﹐好D。到4點﹐工人開似搬野﹐女人老細叫我地走。嘩﹐好野﹐有得早走﹐返到屋企﹐你地都重係度。重大把時間換衫﹐嘩哈哈﹐開心死啦。

威爾斯傳奇之世界這樣大

這次到Wales, 參加了World Horizons 的Next Step Weekend.

是Next Step Weekend 的其中一位accidental participants (我想Diane and Toby 都係), 但如弟兄姊妹說﹐在神沒有意外與偶然。

World Horizons﹐ 一個prayer based, relationship based 的宣教機構﹐在Llanelli 的 North Dock 辦訓練課程﹐裝備有心參予宣教的信徒。

今次有十多位弟兄姊妹參加﹐大部份來自英國﹐但各人的背境很多元化。有原籍Turkey 的, Germany, South Africa, 有直接從Germany, 美國來的。有年紀較大的﹐也有學生。有曾經是homeless 與 alcoholic 的F 弟兄﹐神改變他﹐現在成為園丁﹐定期到法國短宣。有讀Eton, 曾經吸毒的D 弟兄﹐現在manage 一個福音網站 ﹐有念silversmith 的J 姊妹。這個weekend, 大家一同靈修﹐敬拜﹐從The Postman 看church planting, walk in the park, 之後到Gower (我還說這是my exercise of the month﹐當然我還未知在Italy 會更intense)﹐ 吃摩洛哥餐﹐美味的Welsh Cake, 了解World Horizons 的training program﹐傾談﹐彼此認識﹐靜聽神的聲音﹐參加local church service 。嘩﹐Welsh 的詩歌真的鴻壯好聽﹐ Australian Hillsong Church 的詩歌真的令人很投入敬拜﹐見到一班年輕人打band, 邊跳邊詩讚美神﹐真係令人精神一振。女傳道用My King 來講道﹐so powerful!!

完了program, 大家都有點依依不捨﹐交換了電郵。但我太了解自己﹐萍水相逢﹐這班弟兄姊妹﹐我未必能跟他們保持聯絡。但我們所聽所講﹐已經在我心內腦中留下了位置。 在適當的時候﹐神會提醒﹐正如這次祂提醒我要多為弟兄F﹐姊妹A禱告一樣。

站在世界地圖上敬拜﹐在上面prayer walk, 難忘!

威爾斯傳奇

職業病﹐縱然是自己出埠﹐一般都會做足research 與節目安排 (上次主動追求幸福之旅除外)﹐很難想像﹐這次我連地圖都未看就買了機票到London。之後﹐毫無安排節目的意欲﹐若非同事在離開當天下午問起﹐我連Swansea (下車的地點)在那裡都未知。

能夠這樣的安然上路﹐也是一種幸福﹐一次突破?

雖然曾經跟A子他們到過大不列巔﹐除倫敦以外還到過Cambridge 及 Bath. 但對於大英的地理實在不甚了了。聽過威爾斯﹐因為有大學同學在United World College 念中學﹐因為戴安娜是Princess of Wales﹐但實制上威爾斯是在那裡呢?

其實在那裡都沒有所謂﹐正如早前去羅省只為訪友﹐今次也不例外﹐純粹是為了領取那第四份最想要的聖誕禮物。

你叫我學習接受別人的好意與安排﹐是的﹐我想今次我有做到吧? 除了自己訂機票﹐我好像甚麼都無做過﹐想不到就這樣過了一個有意義又難忘的假期。

突然想到﹐這不就是恩典麼? 神一早預備好的禮物﹐只要我們願意接納﹐一切的豐盛﹐垂手可得。

旅途小發現之二

7) 四個女仔旅行﹐還是住兩間房好。一間family room, 地方是夠﹐但早晚輪洗手間實在太花時間了。一整天在外﹐早晚都要洗澡。時間就是金錢﹐下次寧願付多一點點﹐可以多睡片刻。

8) 這點AB子﹐靚靚可能會不同意﹐今次發現原來自己幾挨得﹐訓得三﹐四個鐘照樣可以六點幾起身﹐腳痛到死都照樣健步如飛﹐食gelato 當午餐。唯一大忌係唔凍得﹐一凍即死﹐好似在香港﹐上海﹐東京的時候就是冷親惹的。

9) 要多帶一對contact lenses 做後備。

10) 帶護照影印本外出﹐正本放在房間的保險箱。帶copy 其實是方便買野攪退稅。

11) 感覺上歐洲的機場保安比花旗嚴。Heathrow 要起機30 -40 分鐘前才宣報上機閘口號碼﹐到閘後還要等到最後一分鐘才可以入閘口的候機室。FCO 未check in 已經要check passport 同ticket。但裡面有很多duty free shops, 又要攪退稅﹐還是早到機場最好。

稍安無躁

如果閣下係BL既親朋密友的話(兩三星期才上網一次的姊妹們﹐正在旅美的B子除外)﹐相信近日都收到邀請去看那三本照片簿了。今天有姊妹問: 還有相麼? 答案是當然有啦﹐但為免睇滯大家﹐加上upload ﹐整理需時。回歸後﹐本人又事務繁忙﹐加上病病地﹐吃了藥感覺好像喝了兩杯Chianti 那麼舒服﹐所以唯有實行一日一本政策。相信本星期會load 完STO 拍的那些﹐本週末取得專業Za 的相片後﹐下星期會弄好其他的。多謝大家對照片的熱烈反應﹐請稍候。

旅途小發現

今次外遊﹐有很多新發現﹐令我對很多事情有新的睇法...

1) 起行前﹐很擔心小小的手提行李是否足夠放10天需用的衣物。離開公司時﹐老闆還說她單是鞋子已經會裝滿一箱。今次發現travel light 是最明智的選擇﹐鞋子兩雙替換﹐日用品帶試用裝﹐有機會就洗衣服。今次要單獨多次轉搭不同交通公具﹐身外物多行動不便﹐加上行李不用寄倉﹐省了等行李的時間﹐在火車上行動也方便些。當然﹐回來時大包小包﹐箱子要放大﹐但那是後話。

2) 在英國坐National Express 巴士十分方便﹐在Heathrow 跟Gatwick 機場都有站﹐車子乾淨舒適﹐路上也很安全﹐看看風景﹐聽歌看書﹐小睡一下﹐數小時很快就過去。當然我只坐了兩次﹐加上奕棠安排周到﹐未出發已幫我買了車票﹐離美前print 出來就可以了﹐一到Swansea 他已經在車站等緊﹐令我覺得很安全。我想下次到英國還是可以坐巴士的。

3) 以後除非outlet 大減價﹐否則不會再在美國買袋﹐買手飾了。

4) 只要常常警覺﹐有幾個人一齊﹐在羅馬其實是安全的。我們坐了多次巴士﹐包括出名多扒手的64 號﹐又坐過人頭踴踴如香港的地鐵﹐都沒有被劫。有一晚在Piazza Navona 買野有人搭訕﹐我們沒理他們﹐街頭畫家又罵他們﹐他們就走開了。太晚﹐我們會坐的士﹐連晚上的附加費也是8 euro, 價錢相宜。

5) 美國的意大利菜(一般而言)實在又貴又不地道﹐相信短期內都不會吃。

6) 最好的exchange rate 是credit card ($1.20 to 1 euro), 其次是ATM, 平均1.23 左右, 自行對換的話﹐1.28 或以上, 十分不花算。如果準備外遊﹐預先開一張無 overseas use surcharge 的credit card, 無charge 的ATM card 吧。今次我們不是人人有card, 要記數﹐ATM 又有daily withdrawal limit, 有點不便。

回來啦﹐多謝大家

一連十天的英倫傳奇(應該係威爾斯先岩呀)與情迷意大利終於告一段落。多謝大家的禱告﹐SMS﹐電話, 電郵, IM,。感謝神﹐全程一路平安﹐雖然在意大利時睡得少﹐飲食有點不定時﹐但沒有病倒(但現在好像病病地﹐都是貪靚在唐人街只穿短袖Colessum Tshirt 惹的禍)﹐真的很難得。積積叫我唔好身在外﹐心在費城﹐其實真係好容易架﹐因為實在太好玩啦﹐但因此而成既BL效應攪到大家收視大跌﹐真係唔好意思。不過我又點會唔掛住你呢? 當你收到明信片﹐smart car, 意粉﹐手飾﹐Chianti, 小擺設﹐等等﹐你就會知道﹐其實﹐我去到邊度都掛住你...

女人老細之用Hello Kitty Planner 的女人

第一位manager 是位叫成田黎明﹐老公係台灣人的ABJ。其實因為年中有很多engagements, 加上等級差好遠(新仔對10年以上經驗的高級經理)所以真係同成田共事的機會不多。但年初set goals, 年尾review 都係她負責。老細俾我既印象好好﹐能幹又女性化﹐有家庭(有一對仔女)又有事業。要知道當時我係日本組﹐女人老細好少﹐重要係take 過兩次maternity leave 都做到senior manager 都唔係易事。雖然我地新仔咩都唔識﹐連senior 都話我地係liabilities 多過assets, 但成田對我地班新人好好﹐可能因她都係大蘋果大學出身吧。

成田俾我印象最深係某次同佢開會﹐佢竟然拎本Hello Kitty 既Planner 出來﹐真係童心未泯。永遠都記得佢隻unisex Tag, 真係好鐘意。走左之後聽講成田再生多個﹐終於都要辭職在家。據聞在告別餞, 成田哭了﹐我想很多人都真的會很捨不得她﹐不知她會否在子女長大後﹐重出江湖呢?

Giselle

今晚終於同團友們看了慕名以久的Giselle。 記得第一次聽聞這個ballet是從亞花口中。原來故事如此悽美﹐但可能天生愛激動﹐所以覺得音樂比夠平淡﹐還是亞司基的芭蕾音樂比夠對胃。不過作為一個舞蹈愛好者﹐這些經典作品起碼要看一次吧﹐所以還是值回票價的。

女人老細之忘記blackberry 的女人

快下班了﹐經過上司辦公室門口﹐她人剛走卻中門大開﹐不出所料﹐她又第N次留下blackberry 了。之前多次after hour ﹐在我差不多要走的時候打電話回來要我四處張羅鑰匙﹐於是今天先發制人﹐幫她鎖好blackberry, 再於她手機留言報告。回到車站﹐她回電言謝﹐說﹐what am I gonna do without you? 都算你有良心啦。

初出茅盧﹐師姊兼同房就再三警告﹐如果老闆是女人﹐一定不會有好日子過。師姊曾身受其害﹐女上司情緒化﹐小心眼﹐記仇﹐等等。她的忠告﹐一直莫失莫忘。但不知何解﹐工作到現在﹐上司都是女的。現在的頂頭上司是女﹐部門大老細是女﹐合拼後的新大老細也是女的﹐將來有可能做頂頭的也是個女的。

個人經驗, 同女上司做事其實不錯。好像現在的老闆﹐雖然最近常常忘記blackberry, 有時又會勁長氣。好似上次自由行走開兩個幾禮拜﹐就被她說了說了好久(當然放假她不能阻止﹐但大概老細們都不喜歡下屬離開太久)。好多時開會﹐都要等她攪掂其他野﹐白坐時間都不短。但在這兩年多在她身上真係學到很多。她跟我媽年紀差不多﹐工作經驗豐富﹐又肯教人同俾機會人﹐好多project 都係她邊做邊教。雖然工作忙﹐但係佢都係d有work life balance 既人﹐通常五點鐘左右就會放工﹐當然對於我地呢班下屬來講真係一件好事。不過最令我感激既係佢在亞爸病中非常體諒﹐好多時我要遲到早退都唔怕唔好意思﹐因為老細話work will always be there, but family might not be. 另一方面﹐大家做事合拍﹐她又好睇我﹐都係我鐘意幫佢做野既原因﹐甘當然我都交足貨俾佢啦。今次review, 大家都好滿意﹐最緊要老細俾左d點處理麻生呢類人既意見我﹐知道大家對麻生既生既看法一致﹐覺得鬆一口氣。同埋佢又有俾其他關於工作上改善既提議﹐我一定會從善如流。

已知將來不會再跟忘記blackberry 的老細﹐雖然有點可惜﹐但世界真細小, 會再一齊做野既機會仍然有。不過最緊要係建立左好既聲譽﹐大家關係良好﹐將來要轉工﹐都會有個好既reference 呀。

玩即興

一向好少玩即興﹐因為booking 一向密密麻麻﹐大事如大佬生日幾個月前就度定期﹐因為有好多東西要預備﹐落單訂貨都要就船期。如無意外﹐所有事情﹐一言為定﹐最恨改期。再加上唔係住香港或NYC﹐ 要即興地話出街就出街根本好難﹐就算我得大家都唔會同我癲。但係如果有朋自DC 來當然不同。五點幾﹐收到Tiger 電話﹐話同一班匹茲堡之友係476, 想一齊食飯。嘩﹐想唔到大家係SF 見過不到兩個月又再見。立刻同K先生講聲﹐會同你個friend 食飯呀﹐聽K先生話帶了STO (我想send 相俾你呀﹐證明我地有見﹐IM 你又唔覆)。去火車頭﹐叫了好多平時難得一食既酸菜湯﹐羊煲﹐魚煲﹐唔錯。一次生兩次熟﹐估唔到其中一位弟兄話係Pitt 見過﹐但係我又唔記得。大家有傾有講﹐又有M2玩﹐超正。個夥記主動幫我地影相﹐重無手震﹐真係難得。更加難得係夥記哥哥們超友善﹐都係全靠Tiger 夠好人﹐夠親和。好開心﹐兩個月不見﹐再見又俾人話瘦左。重有你地因緣際會食到軟糖﹐好彩無講係咩你地都食得出係咩味。係呀﹐連呢樣野都可以自己整架。同埋我好想認識係Pitt 既CS PhD 短褲蛋糕奇人﹐如果有機會去做下訪問交流﹐一定超正。

Tiger 同亞Jac 一樣﹐係地位超然﹐菜氏三兄妹都熟﹐淵源甚深既老死﹐所以飛車出去一會都要。但係係呢度你都爭俾錢﹐真係俾你激死。好希望你既project extend, 菜氏一家會落去談你﹐順便睇下亞嫂。Summer 啦﹐大佬﹐無得話忙架啦。

不寄的情書之六...

科技發達﹐每天﹐長信短訊電話電郵在空氣中來回往返。但可靠如gmail 也有延誤的時候。當等不到的時候﹐人又能怎樣呢? 只能心痛焦急﹐怕那邊廂出了甚麼枇漏...一下子﹐胡思亂想﹐忐忑不安﹐千萬個可能...當情難自已的時候﹐我想﹐還有這不寄的情書﹐那心的交流﹐無懼風雨﹐不怕網絡擁擠﹐由我心到你心﹐莫失莫忘。

囫圇吞棗

幼承庭訓﹐細細個就見亞爸係度睇爭鳴﹐九十年代﹐名人傳記等等﹐所以自幼無書不歡﹐係香港﹐每次出街都會帶本書﹐因為等人等車等食飯實在太花時間﹐有書睇時間就易過。深信三日不讀書﹐便覺語言無味﹐面目可憎﹐絕對不能明白點解有D人可以一年都睇唔到兩三本書(教科書﹐工具書除外)。今年為免唔敢照鏡﹐加上發現買得書多﹐但係讀得書少﹐於是立志要睇多D 好書﹐參加左book club (不過未開始),又問下其他人既意見﹐睇下D書評﹐利用搭車既時間﹐早一本﹐晚一本甘﹐到現時為止都完成左好幾本書。

大部書都係友好介紹﹐睇完真係得著良多。當然也看小說閑書﹐亦舒係心癮﹐Dan Brown 真係精彩萬分。其實有時睇書都有好大struggle, 好似亞A子話魚生話其實係聖經話要聽道行道﹐ 書中其實有好多教導﹐自己好似點都做唔到。有時會諗﹐係咪唔睇重好呢? 好似有D徙時間甘。不過有友人跟我說﹐那就當是先放在你既reference book 既bookshelf 度先囉﹐今日做唔到﹐可能明年今日會得呢。總之學多D野﹐無壞﹐有時神就係甘一點一滴甘教我地野﹐可能就係係D要緊關頭﹐曾經睇過既書會幫到我地。甘當然唔少得要睇聖經啦經。希望今年可以持之以恆﹐努力讀書啦。

BL 流行榜

雖然用iTunes 聽歌已經一段日子﹐但係因為怪癖係同一首歌聽N次﹐加上一向都有專人指導關於車呀﹐相機呀﹐bPod 呀﹐電腦program 呀既用法﹐自己無點樣深究各樣野既functions, 好似部T-1 用到想換﹐都只係識point and shoot, 好似部Ben Mobile 開左甘耐﹐都係岩岩先識點樣較高個坐位。今次為左我大佬終於要自己攪下部bPod, 連帶試左 iTunes 既functions, 發現iTunes 有個Top 25 Most Played 既 playlist﹐入去睇下﹐原來有以下既好歌...

比夠熟絡既友人不時都會聽到亞麻生既消息﹐近排無點講﹐唔係因為麻生轉性﹐而係關於佢既麻煩事實在五花八門﹐層出不窮﹐有見及此﹐唯有開個專欄俾佢﹐第一炮想講下今日同麻生既對話...

(Around 4pm, after providing a report to me with a few obvious mistakes...)
M: I think I will give you the report later. It will take me couple more days.
B: (下﹐唔係呀嘛﹐應該半個鐘都唔使就掂架啦喎) Why? It shouldn't take you that long.
M: You know, I just want to make sure I check it and it's all right.
B: (即係你頭先無check 啦﹐甘你都敢交貨?)﹐Okay, but still it's not a job that should take you that long to do.
M: Alright, I will give it to you tomorrow, I just can't work on it anymore. My head is spinning.
B: So, you plan on doing nothing from now until 5?
M: Oh, no no no....

B: Do you have any of those tabs that you haven't used?
M: Let me look, oh, yes, I have them.
B: Can I use them now and I will order some new ones tomorrow and give them back to you?
M: (沾沾自喜地) Sure. See, now I am doing you a favor.
B: What favor? This is company supplies.
M: (無奈look).....

GF Trivia

好耐無攪過呢家子野﹐見時日無多﹐於是重出江湖。其實準備不足﹐有錯漏之處希望大家見諒。今次加了團契教會認識題﹐動作題﹐音樂題﹐多元化d﹐希望會無甘悶。不過見大家都好似幾投入都放心d﹐而且發現大家對查過既經文都記得明白都覺得安慰。但係可惜大家重未識背主題金句﹐要背熟啦。
